In 2013, Swaziland’s Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA-Swaziland) hosted two interns from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. The interns, Phesheya Ian Kunene and Bhekilanga Wakhile Kunene, created a documentary about university life in Swaziland.
Phesheya and Bhekilanga interviewed four current students, one former student, a lecturer, and the former minister for labour and social security. With assistance from Bill Snaddon and his MISA-Swaziland colleagues, the interns filmed and edited the final documentary. The purpose of the film, said Bhekilanga, is to “give a voice to students, to hear their side of the story”.
This shortened version of the film, launched at Limkokwing University in Swaziland in December 2013, runs for 15 minutes.
